Sorry to bring this back up, but I've tried all of these, and I'm having no luck whatsoever.. I've since had it running since December 2010 and it has been fine The only pitfall I can see, which is why I am on the web now looking for information, is there appears to be no 2008 software for notifying events etc. Before I used it for this, I upgraded ALL the firmware using the software from the IBM site.. I then got it to do a fresh install, and within 2008 there must be drivers for my particular Raid card, as it installed perfectly first time.. ) However, I use it within a 2008 Server R2 domain as a secondary domain controller now - and it also runs a management console for AV and WSUS.. g Windows 2000 Server (ideally) or Windows 2003 Server Do the bear minimum but IIRC, you have to install SP4 for the Windows 2008 Server setup installer to run.. I hope this is useful to someone! What I ended up doing was purchasing the IBM 7K raid card as opposed to using the built in Adaptec card.. I don't know if you absolutely HAVE to do this, probably not, but if you intend to use the server in a production environment, I would recommend it.. It works well now My workaround for this, which may help some of you trying to do this, is to install a supported Operating System first e.. The performance was much improved and the card cost me about 100 bucks new in the box from a reseller. 773a7aa168
